The Nigerian Male Basketball Team, popularly known as ‘D‘Tigers‘, honoured the late legendary Nigerian musician Sound Sultan in the recent game they played against Australia.

Sound Sultan, known to be a huge fan and believer of Nigerian Basketball, died on the 11th of July 2021 after a long battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma. Hence, in his honour, D’Tigers observed a one minute silence for the legendary/Veteran singer, songwriter, rapper and fashion enthusiast.

Away from the one-minute silence that was observed, the players also dashed out on customized white t-shirts that had the image of the late Sound Sultan in them. However, the Nigerian team unfortunately lost to Australia 97-55.

Earlier, the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) to honour the legendary sound sultan dedicated D’Tigers’ recent friendly wins against the USA and Argentina to the late music star.
